Meet the Team
Care Programs Manager
Christina Paad
Christina graduated from CSUSM with a B.A. in Liberal Studies. She began volunteering at Ivey Ranch in 2011 in the equestrian program. She became a riding instructor in 2014. Christina has been passionate about working with children her entire life and joined our School-Age Care Program in 2019. Christina is currently the Care Programs Manager.

Amanda Chico
Amanda graduated from CSUSM with a B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development. Amanda has been part of Ivey Ranch since 2012 when she started volunteering in our equestrian program and, in 2016 she started working in our School-Age Program. When she is not in our care program, she is down at the barn. She is an active rider who enjoys hanging out with our horse Roy, who she has been leasing since 2016. Amanda is a lifelong learner and continues to grow with all the opportunities that Ivey Ranch has had to offer. She became the Lead Teacher for our new Adult Day Program in 2023!

Daisy Cruz
Daisy graduated from CSUSM in 2022 with a B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in health, education, and welfare, along with a minor in psychology. Most of her volunteering in the past has been with children and this passion is what lead her to joining our School-Age Program. In 2023 Daisy became the lead teacher of the School-Age Program! She is excited to be part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of children and families. Daisy hopes to become a school social worker.

Za'Aliyah Daley
Za’Aliyah is a 4th year at Cal State San Marcos majoring in Human Development, she will graduate in Spring 2024. In her free time, she loves to spend time with friends and family, do her nails, and cook.
ADP Teacher
Monica Thoresen
Monica is originally from the Chicago area and graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology/B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature in 2002 and an M.S. in Speech Pathology in 2004. She is a practicing bilingual speech pathologist, licensed in Arizona and California. Her family has been riding at and volunteering with the equine program at Ivey Ranch since 2020, and she recently became involved with the development of Ivey’s Adult Day Program in August 2023 as well. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, traveling, and curling up with a good book when she can find a quiet space to do so!

Leanne Omori
Leanne graduated from Mira Costa College in 2022 with an associate's degree in Film, Television, and Electronic Media. She graduated with her associate's degree in Child Developmemt in 2023. When she is not at Ivey Ranch you can find her working at Legoland. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and crafts.

Karlee Raisor
Karlee began as a volunteer in our daycare to fulfill a service learning requirement for a college course in fall 2020. After her semester of volunteering, Karlee was hired as a teacher in our daycare. Before joining Ivey Ranch, she worked in other childcare and education settings. Karlee is currently a student at Cal State San Marcos finishing her Bachelors in Liberal Studies with the goal of being an elementary teacher.
